What is Kurrencii Kounts?

Kurrencii Kounts is a non-profit organization and community education resource introduced by Xanious Jahki, in November 2019. The organization is currently based in Atlanta, GA and it's mission is to provide children and young adults the skills needed for financial literacy in today's world. Through a variety of partnerships with community-based organizations, and local public service agencies, students will be equipped opportunity to learn financial management skills, like earning, saving, and investing.

8-12 students will meet twice weekly for a two-hour session for 8 weeks. Every meeting, Kurrencii Kounts members will be provided with hot meals and nutritious snacks. Graduating students of the program will receive a checking and savings with a $150 stipend.

What is Financial Literacy?

Financial literacy is the ability to use knowledge and skills to manage one’s financial resources effectively for lifetime financial security.

Financial Literacy Month is a national observance held every April, and was introduced by the National Endowment for Financial Education.

How will donated funds be used?

Kurrencii Kounts plans to establish it's self as a trusted 501(c)(3) charitable foundation. The funds will be used for incorporation, ongoing compliance, securing a headquarters location, student meal prep, books, software, and other equipment.

In addition to providing financial literacy, in the future we look to provide additional services such as adult money management courses, resume writing, interview workshops, job search assistance, college application assistance, and more.

Generally, Kurrencii Kounts uses presenters who are representatives of our partner organizations; however, we’re happy to consider other ideas. If you do a presentation that you think might be suitable for our program and students please contact us and share your ideas.
